Mojarto - An NDTV Venture Water, A Repository

Artist Ravi Agarwal makes art based on everyday life in some of India's most polluted regions. His work subtly depicts how we in many ways are dependent on our eco systems. He has also founded an NGO called Toxics Link which aims to reduce the usage of toxins in and around our neighborhoods. He tries to communicate the histories and cultures of such issues through visual language. His recent exhibition at gallery Espace showcases his work on the fishing community in Pondicherry, through the eyes of the fishermen- the various questions that confront him and how each one of these questions is global. Water is a repository of everything for artist Ravi Agarwal and he would like to see the idea of water being engaged with everything by everyone.
