I had written this when my father used to taunt me about art and say ‘what is this color and all, what career will this be, will you paint a sign board, we want you to become a doctor or engineer’.
I used to get very frustrated by this and that is when I started writing.
(according to his father )He had an interest in art that kept increasing. We were not encouraging him, as we wanted him to pay attention to studies and did not want him to get into the field of art.
Symbols such as birds, dogs are usually seen in my paintings, flowers too. I am not painting nature but you will find elements from it. Yellow-ochre colour is always used in my paintings.
Art is a meditation to me without which I do not feel satisfied.
My elder sister used to paint very well; she was my first inspiration.
There is no specific rule in art, I would just like the viewer to think about what he/she relates to in art, how they correlate with it.
Art is a way to communicate for me, like how writing is to others.
