Norway Excluded from Beijing' 45 Country Visa-Free Transits List NTDonChina

And two years after Liu Xiaobo was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the Chinese regime seems unwilling to forgive and forget.

On Wednesday, Beijing's government announced it will offer45 countries, including 27 EU member states, Finland and Switzerland visa-free visits to the city. One European country has been notably left out—Norway.

The Norwegian government is in charge of the committee that awards the Nobel Peace Prize. In 2010, the Chinese regime protested the committee's decision to name Chinese democracy advocate, Liu Xiaobo, that year's winner. Liu was jailed in China in 2009 on subversion charges.

The visa-free visits to Beijing would apply to people staying less than three days. Other countries in the list include US, Russia, Australia and major Latin American countries.

According to the Financial Times, a Beijing official declined to explain why Norway was left off this list. He only said some countries were not eligible for the program because their citizens or governments were, quote, "of low-quality" and "badly behaved."
